Coaching Jobs There are many coaching jobs out there. There are some coaching jobs that deal with sports, some coaching jobs that deal with business, some that are professional (and paid like it) and some coaching jobs that are voluntary. If you are a great leader, finding a coaching job may be right for you. Below is a brief description of the two major types of coaching jobs available: sports coaching and career or life coaching.
Sports coaches range from professional coaching (which usually requires some kind of experience as a player first) to a youth little league coach who volunteers their time. A good middle ground for someone who is look to make a career out of coaching may be a high-school sports coach. This is paid and may require little skills depending on how small the school is. It may also lead to better paying jobs in the future, such as a sports coach at a community college or, eventually, a university where national recognition may be involved. Sports Coaching |
Career and life coaches are there to help others expand and move up in their careers and life. They can range from helping those who are just getting back into the work force after a period of unemployment, rehab, or those just getting out of high school, which will usually be lower paying, to working with higher-level executives trying to take their career even farther, which will usually be higher paying. They also may help those same people with other areas in their life where there are issues.
If you are interested in coaching jobs, you should look into what kind of training you would need to get into the field. Another idea would be to find out if there is a very low level position where you can start out without any additional training.
